Fix a wrong video
A different orchestra. A different take. A modern reissue with a synth pad on top. When the linked video doesn't match the recording, here's how to swap it, and quietly help everyone else who'll hear that song later.
video coming soon
- Different orchestra entirely. Same title, totally different sound. Labels and search engines confuse these constantly.
- Different take or year. Right orchestra, different recording session. Listen for the singer and the arrangement.
- Modern reissue with effects. Over-processed mastering, added reverb, stereo widening, not the golden-age sound.
How to swap it
- 01
Click the song in the player
While a set is playing, click the song row that's wrong. The song details panel opens with metadata and the embedded video.
- 02
Hit "wrong video"
A small form slides in. It tells you the current YouTube ID it's using, so you can double-check the source.
- 03
Paste a better YouTube URL
Find a video that actually matches, usually a TodoTango or El Recodo upload. Paste the full URL or just the video ID. Add a short note (optional) if you want to flag why.
- 04
Submit
Done. The video swaps in the set you're listening to immediately, and a flag goes to the review queue.
What happens after you submit
- a The set you're listening to switches to your new video right away, so the set creator can hear the difference.
- b A flag is filed against the master discography entry. Tandabase reviews it.
- c If the swap checks out, it rolls into the master record, and every future set built from that recording starts with the better video.
Try not to submit videos that get region-blocked, deleted often, or hidden behind age-gates. Stable channels with millions of plays tend to outlive everyone.
The catalogue lives on the coverage page. It tells you exactly how much of each orchestra's discography has a working video. Goal: 100% across all 21 orchestras.
