Use the Learn section

A small encyclopedia of tango musicality. Concepts illustrated with short, looped clips of golden-age recordings.

How it's organised

The Learn page groups concepts into four categories: fundamentals, speeds, basic rhythms, and variations. Each category has a handful of phenomena (think: marcato, sincopa, fraseo). Each phenomenon comes with one or more example recordings.

Listening to an example

1. Pick a category, then a phenomenon.
2. An example loads with a short YouTube clip cued to a specific timestamp.
3. Use the loop toggle to play the clip on repeat. Sit with it. Let your ear catch the moment.
4. Step through prev/next to compare examples within the same phenomenon.

The dance examples section follows the same pattern, just with movement instead of music. Listening and watching, side by side.
